Was sitting on these until I'd finished some other things, but eh, I never seem to get "real" things done, so here you go.

Why get a shetland? Because they're horribly adorable. They're also much more "useful" than HARPG thinks; they are wonderful competition horses for your child characters in dressage, jumping, etc- or hey, if you've got very small adults, that works too They'd also make wonderful ponies to let you enter the driving classes that appear out there but which one never seems to have a horse for. And then there's racing; our own Indiana Jones has made a bit of a name for himself as being the oddball on the track. Plus, shetlands are just perfect for general shenanigans around the stable!

This is an art auction.

Auction Information

1. Submit one bid which includes the pony, via note. You can replace your bid with a new one if you don't like the original, up until the deadline.
2. Please fill out the pony's stats in the description of your bid. Some information is preset and may not be changed. Other information, marked with ???, is up to you to choose. (Note- stallions may be gelded and mares may be sterilized in your bid, if you so choose. They should not switch from mare to stallion though, for example.)
3. If you win, please do use the pony at least occasionally. I drew these adoptables by hand, which takes a fair bit longer than coloring in linearts. If at a later point in time you no longer want your pony, I will gladly take it back.
4. Keep in mind that these are classic British shetlands, with a max height of 11 hands (107 cm). Bids which list the pony as being taller than that will not win.
5. I don't expect heavy interest, so if you do bid, you are quite likely to win your pony. If multiple people bid and you don't win, I'll do more adoptables if there's interest for it, where nonwinners have first choice.
6. Having said that, I reserve the right to reject any bid which I do not think shows significant effort, or which I do not think would be a suitable home. I'm already in love with these ponies, I want them in good homes.


In your bid, the pony may be already named or not, have a known personality or be a "mystery purchase", etc. It's a pretty free-form auction. Judging will be based on the effort and creativity of the art itself, as well as the information you fill in. Stories will majorly boost a chance of winning. There is no predetermined history of these ponies, where they come from or what they are like, so you can format the story however you like- perusing a sales pen, already have the pony on trial, there is no limit to how the pony catches your character's interest and ends up in your stable. A creative, unique story can have just as great an effect as the art itself!
